NEW: Mahan for Governor Campaign Launches $3 Million TV Ad Blitz Across California

SAN JOSÉ, CA — Today, the Matt Mahan for California campaign launched a $3 million ad buy. The ad, titled “All The Good,” features Mahan describing his vision for California, one where California creates more opportunity, sparks more innovation, and solves everyday problems.

“Families today, they can't get above water. We need to get California back to being California. A beacon of opportunity. A launch pad for innovation. A place where no one is priced out of progress. Sacramento just throws money at our problems but I’m solving them,” says Mahan in the ad.

In the ad, Mahan also touts his record of accomplishments as Mayor of San José, including building thousands of new homes, reducing homelessness by a third, and making San José the biggest safe city in America.

The ad will run in the San Francisco media market on broadcast and will run statewide on digital and streaming platforms.

Transcript of the ad below:

Why do I want to be Governor? Think about all the good we can do. The lives we can change. The opportunity we can create.

My mom was a teacher. My dad was a mailman. We wore hand-me-downs. Our cars were always breaking down but we made it.

Families today, they can't get above water. We need to get California back to being California.

A beacon of opportunity. A launch pad for innovation. A place where no one is priced out of progress.

Sacramento just throws money at our problems but I’m solving them.

As Mayor of San Jose, we built thousands of new homes. We reduced homelessness by one third.

We made San Jose the safest big city in America.

When I taught middle school, I promised my students that if they worked hard they could do anything.

This is our chance to make good on that promise for them and for every Californian.
